
About Kalimah
Kalimah Johnson, LMSW, ACSW, LCSW, is a nationally recognized clinician, educator, advocate, and consultant specializing in trauma-informed leadership, relationship management, emotional intelligence, mental wellness, and culturally specific healing practices. A former Assistant Professor of Social Work at Marygrove College and Founder/Executive Director of the SASHA Center in Detroit, Michigan, Kalimah has spent more than 20 years supporting survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence while leading transformative conversations around healthy relationships, accountability, violence prevention, and community wellness.
Kalimah serves as a consultant to the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football League (NFL), and National Hockey League (NHL) on matters related to relationship safety, athlete wellness, leadership development, and culture transformation. She is also a certified graduate of the Athlete Development Professional Certification Program through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School/Aresty Institute of Executive Education, further strengthening her work with professional athletes, executives, and high-impact organizations.
Through Soul Healing Consulting and her national advocacy work, Kalimah continues to develop impactful trainings, workshops, and wellness initiatives for sports organizations, universities, leadership teams, entertainment professionals, and institutions across the country and abroad. In addition to her consulting and advocacy work, she is a writer, spoken word artist, and owner of a natural hair care studio in her hometown of Detroit.
